Parent's Corner...Frequently Asked Questions
Q:  What does Briarlake offer for my 6th-12th grader?
A:  We desire for students involved in Briarlake Student Ministry to experience meaningful life in Jesus Christ. Students have several opportunities to gather together and be challenged towards a growing relationship with Christ. We welcome students asking questions about their faith and desiring an environment to explore the truth, hope and love that God offers to us.
Sunday mornings we invite students to join us for Sunday AM: Our large group/small group format allows for scriptural teaching as well as a smaller group to discuss applying what students are learning. Sunday AM is from 9:30-11:00 in D building.
Sunday Night Live is our Sunday night student ministry and meets from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm in D building. This relaxed time centers on the model of community found in Acts 2:42-48. We enjoy dinner, hangout time in the game room, then teaching and small groups.
We Serve
We provide frequent opportunities for Students to volunteer in meaningful projects with the larger Briarlake Church family as well as in our community. "We Serve" opportunities are listed on the front bulletin board inside the foyer of D building.
We Play
On Sunday nights we often plan extra time to play together! During SNL, join us for different group games and activities and a fun time just to be together. "We Play" examples: 4 Square, dodgeball, kickball, volleyball, basketball, ultimate frisbee, net games on the tennis court, etc. Come out and play!
Q:  Where is the student building?

Q:  When my child goes on a student event, why do I need to fill-out a health form?
A:  This form allows any Briarlake Student Ministry chaperone to get non-life-threatening medical treatment for your child.  Without it, hospitals will not allow minors to get treatment.  Also these forms have a medical history section.  This section keeps our chaperones aware of any medical concerns.

Q:  Do I need to fill it out for every event?

A:  No. These forms stay on file for a complete fiscal year.  However as your child grows, we ask that you keep their medical history updated.
