Barnabas Program

The apostles called Barnabas “son of encouragement.” His first mention in the Bible is as a landowner who sold some land and generously donated all the proceeds to the apostles in Jerusalem (Acts 4:36-37). A few years later, God appointed him as an apostle with Paul to the Gentiles (Acts 13:2-3; 14:14). Barnabas spent many years preaching the gospel in many lands.

Because of the biblical account of Barnabas’ encouragement and generosity, our Children’s and Recreation Ministry scholarship program is called the Barnabas Program. As funds are available, families that are accepted into the program will be able to receive full or partial scholarships for Children’s and Recreation Ministry events at Briarlake Church. Membership in the program is granted for one year. Families may re-apply every year, if needed.

We will make every effort to ensure that children do not miss out on our events or experiences because of a financial need. To apply for the Barnabas Program, click HERE.
